Well I slacked off last week on this whole blog thing because I was swamped at work, sorry guys. To make up for it, here’s the new Weezer single “Pork and Beans” off of their upcoming self-titled album AKA The Red Album (streets June 24th). I’m sure this song has been on the radio for a few days now, but since I no longer listen to the radio, I’m a little late on posting this. Anyway, I hope and pray that Rivers abandons the horrendous lame side of emo he embraced on Make Believe and revives that classic Weezer sound of yesteryear. While “Pork and Beans” is definitely a step in the right direction, there’s still a hint of the lame songwriting style he employed on most of the songs on the last album. I love Weezer, and hope they’re back. Guess we’ll find out soon. Enjoy!
